Rockers baseball

The High Point Rockers of the Atlantic League play 63 home games at Truist Point in 2027, opening at home Friday, April 23, according to the team’s 2027 schedule announcement. The announcement names home dates for Mother’s Day and Memorial Day weekend but not Father’s Day; check the schedule page as game dates and times are posted. Game-day parking is $5 in the team’s lots, and dogs can come with a wristband from Guest Services, according to the Rockers.

Golf

High Point Parks and Recreation runs two public courses, according to its golf courses page:

  • Oak Hollow Golf Course, 3400 N. Centennial St.; 336-883-3260. A Pete Dye design that opened in 1972 beside Oak Hollow Lake.
  • Blair Park Golf Course, 1901 S. Main St.; 336-883-3497. An 18-hole course that began as nine holes in 1931, with the second nine added in the mid-1940s.

Brunch and dinner

  • Earl’s Landing, 400 W. English Road, Congdon Yards: Sunday brunch 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; steaks and seafood at dinner. Reservations: 336-882-0044.
  • Sweet Old Bill’s, 1232 N. Main St.: barbecue, with Sunday brunch 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and hours until 8 p.m. Sunday; 336-807-1476.

  • Goofy Foot Tap Room, 2762 N.C. 68, Suite 109: 18 taps, bourbon by the glass and live music Saturdays at 7 p.m.; open 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Juneteenth falls on Saturday, June 19, 2027. In 2026, when it fell on a Friday, the city’s trash collection ran on a normal schedule and the High Point Public Library closed for the day, according to the city’s collection schedule and the library’s hours page.
