Oak Hollow is the name OpenStreetMap and the city give to north High Point’s lake and the land around it, east of North Main Street along North Centennial Street and Eastchester Drive (NC 68). The city opened Oak Hollow Lake in 1972, and its marina, tennis center, golf course and campground are all on North Centennial Street. At the area’s south end, the city’s High Point 2045 plan names the Eastchester Drive and Centennial Street area a town center and points to the redevelopment room in the strip centers near the now vacant Oak Hollow Mall. Almost every address is in ZIP code 27265.

Where it is

This guide covers the streets around the south and west shores of Oak Hollow Lake, from Eastchester Drive and the old mall north along North Centennial Street: Oak Hollow Drive, Lakecrest Avenue, Suffolk, Beaucrest and Woodside avenues, Gordon Road, Guyer Street and the subdivision streets off Eastchester Drive. Oakview is to the west across North Main Street and the Palladium area to the northeast. Of 5,895 Guilford County address points in the area, 5,845 are inside the city; 96% of those carry ZIP code 27265.

The area is in Guilford County Schools. We placed the city’s 5,845 address points on the district’s 2026-27 attendance-zone map, the one behind its School Assignment Locator:

• High: 86% T. Wingate Andrews High; 14%, on the west side, High Point Central High.
• Middle: 90% Welborn Middle; 10% Ferndale Middle.
• Elementary: 66% Montlieu Academy of Technology, 18% Oak View, 10% Shadybrook and 6% Southwest Elementary.
• The northeast corner, about 6% of addresses, is in the district’s High Point choice zone, where rising sixth graders can pick Welborn or Southwest Guilford Middle and rising ninth graders Andrews or Southwest Guilford High, according to the choice zone page.

Scores are the share of state tests at grade level or above in 2025-26 and the state’s growth rating, from the accountability data.

• I-74: Exit 67 at Eastchester Drive (NC 68) is about 2.1 miles by road, and Exit 65 at North Main Street about 2.3 miles.
• Downtown High Point: about 4.4 miles by road to City Hall.
• Piedmont Triad International Airport: about 15 miles by road.
• Buses: High Point Transit’s Route 15, Oak Hollow Mall, stops at the College Village Shopping Center and the Courtyard Marriott, according to its route schedule.

OpenStreetMap lists a CVS Pharmacy on Eastchester Drive and a Target on Mall Loop Road near the old mall. The stores of the Palladium area, including a Harris Teeter on Skeet Club Road, are to the northeast.
